Hi Not sure if this has been addressed before but I have a 1gb Yamaha USB stick with a load of style files I downloaded from the net. My problem is that when I press the USB button (after making sure CONNECT is showing on LCD) only about 30 styles show and these seem to be the ones with the titles starting YZA. I have tried putting them on the root of the USB, inside the USER Directory and even put them into their own directories within USER FILES e.g.

Hi, I don't have a S550 but do have a S900 and encounter no problems when there are not too many styles in the root. The USB stick I use is a PNY Attache 8gb formated as FAT32.

If I have too many styles in the root then the S900 will indicate this after pressing the User style button and then tab over to USB. This could be approx 30, although I haven't done an exact test. If the styles on the USB stick are broken down into folders, then the most I have in one folder is 210 styles and the S900 seems ok with this. Flicking though them with buttons for p1-p5 and then next, p6-p9 etc The styles should be unzipped and have the extension.sty when viewed on the PC. According to the S900 manual (where the diagrams are for the various connectors around the back of the unit), it states that a USB hard drive can be connected to the USB to Device socket, although I would imagine the hard drive would need it's own power supply.
