I did contact the sound chip manufacturer last Friday but haven't got a reply yet. Anyway, just came back from the store, bought an audio cable and connceted one end to the line in/mic jack and the other to the output jack. Now, when I playback music and choose the Mic as primary device it will stream the music through it, tested it on a chat application. The downside, I can't hear the music myself because it's streaming through the microphone. So, I've to find away to get the music playing through my internal speakers as well as the microphone. I seriously am desperate.

It's not a boot camp issue. I have tested both Vista and 7 without luck (7 runs like a charm here even though it's not supported by Apple).
It's either a driver issue or a hardware issue as I said above. And please, I am not a teenager nor am I American and nor do I care about TV commercials and all the infantile conflict between those two companies unlike you. It's actually the new iMac, not MacBookPro as I said. I really don't know what you mean by hiding behind my vague post, mind to elaborate? *Edit Just installed XP, no Stereo Mix in there either. Splitter cable here I come! Jimy220, If you have the Cirrus Logic CS4206 audio device it is proprietary to Apple with only OS X drivers developed by them.
So, it is both a hardware and a driver issue. Someone modded the driver for XP, although I could not locate it. That may install in compatibility mode if you can find it. The YouTube of someone using it in a MacBook, but makes no reference to where to get it. If you want Windows 7 audio to work correctly, install it on compatible hardware. The Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor tool and the Windows 7 system requirements are very clear. The to the Apple bootcamp post was very clear that Windows 7 support is not available now.
I located a forum that stated realtek Win 7 driver may work for the device. The CS4206 uses the AC'97 codec. Thank you But I think you are missing here something. I do not have any issues with the sound at all, in fact it is as brilliant as in OS X. There's only the issue that I do not have a Stereo Mix option. This is unusual but some sound chip manufactures or computer companies such as Dell and Apple disable it because of legal concerns (Don't know who's to blame here. Either Cirrus or Apple) but I've heard that Dell did the same or is still doing and people resorted to custom made drivers or older ones.
I don't know what you are trying to say, I know that Windows 7 is not being officially supported by Apple, thus I've tried XP as well as Vista without any different outcome. It has to be noted though that almost everything worked out of the box with 7. It was way easier to install all the necessary drivers than in XP. Thanks for the link but as far as I recall I've tried that one without any luck.
Jimy220, I have the same issue on an old P4 mobo I tested With Win7. I lost some features, sound effects and such, (auditorium, cave, stadium, etc.) on a SoundMax device when using a Win 7 driver vs. An XP driver. I believe the intent is to push that off on applications to have the sound features included(or motherboard manufacturers to develop custom drivers). Apps like iTunes and Nero Show Time have a mixer built in for playback. There are plug-ins available for Windows Media Player for additional audio features.. Although, you must purchase those.
Nice of Apple to include that in OS X, Windows sends you to other software and hardware vendors to spend money for features. Perhaps you'll be able to grab the driver from bootcamp when it's available.
Someone will mod it, just give it some time. Win 7 was just released. Hi.I am having a similar problem, cant record the sound passing via the on-board sound card. OS - Windows 7 Home Premium. Audacity v1.2.6.
Patch My Tomtom System Restore. No problem with either headphones or speakers. They are working fine. All drivers are up to date. I have connected both the speaker and the headphone via a splitter to the system and the male Mic jack connector of the headphone (Pink) to the female Mic jack connector of the on-board sound card (Pink). I wanted to record background or playback song with my voice via microphone. Descargar Mutilate A Doll 2 Download here.
(Karaoke) How to do it? I have read that dont use RealTek's driver let the Windows search and install the driver then it will work, is it true? Hi.I am having a similar problem, cant record the sound passing via the on-board sound card. OS - Windows 7 Home Premium. Audacity v1.2.6.
