The install wizard starts ok. It gets to the serial number screen, I enter his serial number and the cd key. When I click Next I get the error: 'The following serial number you entered is not valid: ### - ######## Please try again.' All documentation the end user has with this cd has the same serial number. I looked at the file path C: Prgram Files AutoCAD2002 RegInfoACD.html on his current computer and it also contains the same serial number. I'm kind of stuck and cannot proceed past this message to install AutoCAD for him. Please let me know if there is a solution or a workaround. I just installed an old copy of AutoCAD 2002 without issue. It took the s/n and cd-key I had from the box. I couldn't authorize it over the internet though.
Which was typical that year. I rarely was able to auth anything then. However, I had the authorization saved in a spreadsheet and it took. Don't mean to be rude, but I'd look at your S/N and CD-Key and check again to make sure you have it right.
